| R.A.N.K.I.N. Technologies Inc. (CDNX: BMG.A), the corporate entity that markets and distributes the Boomerang(R) Tracking System, is pleased to announce that the Company has officially changed its name to Boomerang Tracking Inc. effective today. According to the directors of the Company, this name change was essential in order to establish a clear strategic position in the marketplace and allow consumers to immediately associate the Company with its product. "This change was critical to ensure improved communication and facilitate brand awareness" said Linda Farha, Director of Marketing, Communications and Investor Relations. R.A.N.K.I.N. Technologies Inc. intends to reinforce its presence in Ontario and further build brand awareness in its markets of distribution and anticipates entry into the United States within a year or so. With this in mind, the Company''s shareholders unanimously decided that the name change to R.A.N.K.I.N. Technologies Inc. should be made immediately before the Company is too entrenched into these markets. "Consumers know our product but do not necessarily associate it with R.A.N.K.I.N. Technologies Inc. For this reason, we felt it was imperative to make this change now prior to commencing our advertising and brand awareness campaigns in our new markets", said Peter Lashchuk, chairman and CEO of the company. Although the Company will now be listed as Boomerang Tracking on the CDNX, the ticker will remain as is, namely "BMG.A". About Boomerang Tracking Inc.
