"This move to the TSE is part of our overall growth strategy. It will provide the platform for increased visibility in the investment community - a critical element for a company planning on developing an international presence. At this stage of our growth, it is imperative that we attract investor interest," said Jacques Deforges, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company.
"The success that we have realized to date has far surpassed our goals. As part of our overall strategy, we have added seasoned professionals to our management team and to our Board of Directors. We have the internal structure, the employees, the financial resources and, above all, a proven product with market recognition. Our second generation Boomerang®, Boomerang2®, set to launch this year, has already captured the interest of our clients and the insurance community," said Peter Lashchuk, president of the Company.
“Currently, the Boomerang® is distributed in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and in the Dominican Republic. We are now working on new initiatives to strengthen the distribution of the Boomerang® domestically as well as expand into foreign markets. We are increasing our presence in Ontario and, since the beginning of this year, have secured agreements with eight insurers in this market. These insurance companies not only recommend the installation of the Boomerang® on vehicles considered high risk and/or high value but also provide insurance premium discounts as a result,” continued Mr. Lashchuk. “During the course of this year, we will be focusing our efforts on developing and finalizing international licenses. We are extremely enthusiastic about the future of the Company and its potential.”
Since 1998, approximately $40 million in assets have been recovered thanks to the Boomerang® Tracking System, representing more than 750 recovered vehicles and other valuable assets. To date, more than 42,000 Boomerang® units have been installed. About Boomerang Tracking Inc.
