Montreal, Quebec, March 13 2000 - R.A.N.K.I.N. Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Erik Peladeau as member to the Board of Directors of the Company. During the course of his extensive career in the printing and communications industries, Mr. Erik Peladeau has held a series of high profile strategic positions.
Since returning to Quebecor Inc. in 1988, after a four year absence to create the very successful Groupe Lelys, Mr. Peladeau has served as Vice-President, Purchasing, Sales and Marketing and Executive Vice-President of Quebecor Printing Inc., moving with the creation of Quebecor Multimedia to become Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer in 1994. He is presently acting as Chairman of the Board, Quebecor Communications Inc. and Vice-Chairman of the Board, Sun Media Corporation. Mr. Peladeau is also member of the Board of Directors of other major financial groups.
Mr. Peladeau''s solid experience in the media and communications industries will prove to be an invaluable asset as R.A.N.K.I.N. Technologies proceeds with its intended expansion of the BoomerangŪ System into the United States and other foreign markets through strategic alliances with wireless carriers.
