Boomerang Tracking Inc. (TSE: BMG) launches its first advertising campaign in Ontario commencing on September 24 to increase its brand recognition. This 20-week campaign is mainly targeted to a business audience, featuring poster advertising and other media in airports and parking lots. Superboards will also be posted along highways and print advertising will be placed in various major daily newspapers.

To bring car theft to life via different advertising mediums, Boomerang Tracking developed a new graphic approach that features its logo on a vacant parking space with the headline “Stolen car? Not for long!” displayed below. “This signature clearly illustrates what our product offers: peace of mind by virtue of the fact that the stolen property will be found quickly. It evokes the readers’ interest with a question that represents a real problem in Ontario and in most Canadian metropolitan centers, with a response providing a real solution that instills confidence in a proven product – the Boomerang”, said Linda Farha, Director of Marketing, Communications and Investor Relations at Boomerang Tracking.

“After gaining the confidence of Quebec insurers and consumers, we are strengthening our Ontario market presence. To meet this goal, we believe that a major advertising campaign, coupled with the buildup of our Ontario sales force, is the most effective approach. There are more vehicles registered in Ontario than in Quebec, thus providing the Company with tremendous growth potential”, added Serge Laporte, Boomerang’s new Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

To date, the Boomerang has recovered over 1,150 vehicles and other assets, valued at over $59 million. The tracking system is distributed in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia, but can recover stolen assets anywhere in North America.
