Boomerang announces departure of Chief Financial Officer

Boomerang Tracking Inc. (TSE:BMG), Canada’s leading provider of asset protection and recovery technology, today announced that Mr. Jacques Deforges, Vice-president and Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving the Company effective December 18, 2001.

On the occasion of Mr. Deforges’ pending departure, Peter Lashchuk, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boomerang, thanked Mr. Deforges for his past service: and stated that "Jacques has made a tremendous contribution to Boomerang throughout his tenure with us and was instrumental in leading our transformation into a leader in our industry. We wish him every success in his future endeavors."

Boomerang is in the process of interviewing potential candidates to assume the position of Chief Financial Officer of the Company. In the interim, this role will be assumed by a committee comprised of several of the Company’s senior executives.
