Boomerang Tracking Inc. (TSE:BMG) proudly celebrated their 100,000th Boomerang activation last night with their strategic partner, Bell Mobility.
Speaking at a party organized in honor of the employees of Boomerang Tracking, the Vice President of Bell Mobility, Claude Rousseau congratulated the Boomerang team and commented: “As Boomerang’s chosen wireless telecommunications provider, we are proud to partake in this celebration and congratulate each member of the company. There is no doubt that Boomerang’s tremendous success has positioned the Boomerang Tracking System as the leader in stolen asset recovery technologies.”
Peter Lashchuk, President and CEO of Boomerang Tracking addressed Boomerang employees and representatives of Bell Mobility: “Only two years ago, Boomerang Tracking had less than 15 employees. Today, that number has grown to over 100. In the past year alone we opened an R&D; center and corporate store in Montreal, a service center in Ottawa and a regional sales office in Ontario. In addition, we signed an agreement with Cingular Wireless in the United States and developed and successfully launched a second-generation tracking system, Boomerang2™. During this period, we also commenced building a team responsible for the implementation of advanced internal technological systems to support our growth. We are proud of these achievements and thank you for your dedication and commitment.“
Upon his arrival at the Sotto Sopra restaurant in Montreal, Quebec, where the event was held, the owner of the 100,000th activated Boomerang unit was welcomed with a sea of applause from waiting employees of Boomerang and Bell Mobility representatives. As well as receiving V.I.P. treatment for the evening, the client was given numerous gifts including a Boomerang2™ Tracking System, a cellular telephone, a Bell ExpressVu satellite system and Sympatico high speed Internet access.
Boomerang has led to the recovery of more than 1,530 vehicles and other valuable assets, representing a value of over $76 million. For more details on Boomerang Tracking Systems, contact the Company’s customer service department at 1.877.777.8722 or visit its website at www.boomerangtracking.com.
