Boomerang Tracking Inc. (TSX: BMG) is proud to announce that it is the proud recipient of the OCTAS 2003 Award in the category of “Transformation of Business Processes”, presented on May 24, 2003 in Montreal.
Organized annually since 1987 by the Fédération de l''informatique du Québec, the OCTAS Awards are the highest recognition of excellence in the field of information technologies in Quebec. Each year, the Fédération de l''informatique du Québec pays homage to individuals, companies or organizations for their creativity, their dynamism and their contribution to the exceptional rise of industry.
Boomerang Tracking’s winning project, coined “Big Bang Boom”, succeeded in completely transforming the business processes of the Company in order to support its exponential growth and expansion into the United States. The implementation of a complete set of the JD Edwards entreprise systems, including a customer service management system and a B2B e-commerce platform, permitted the Company to further enhance the quality of service to its 120,000 subscribers and its many retailers.
“We are truly honored to be named the winner of this prestigious award,” commented Sylvain Dunn, Vice President, Finance and Operations. “As project manager, I am very proud of this accomplishment as it recognizes the dedication and commitment of our entire team, including our technology partner Groupe Createch. Our success to date has rested on our ability to respond to our clients and partners in a timely and efficient manner, and this award recognizes that continuing commitment,” concluded Mr. Dunn.
To date, the Boomerang and Boomerang2™ devices have recovered over 2,200 stolen vehicles and other assets valued at almost $120 million including incidental recoveries.
