Boomerang Tracking begins February with over $2 million in recovered assets in one week
25 stolen vehicles recovered, leading to additional 18 incidental recoveries

Boomerang Tracking Inc. (TSX: BMG) started the month of February with over 25 stolen vehicles recovered, representing a total value of almost $2 million. In addition, these 25 tracks led the tracking team to the recovery of two chop shops, leading authorities to some 18 incidental recoveries of both intact and ’chopped’ vehicles valued at an estimated $200,000.

Two tracking operations were particularly fruitful; a stolen 2001 Volkswagen Golf GTI on February 2 led to a garage in Laval, Quebec where three other recent model-year stolen vehicles, an Audi S4, Volkswagen Golf and Volkswagen Jetta, were uncovered along with pieces from 5 other vehicles. Police made one arrest on the scene.

The reported theft of a 2001 Honda CRV on February 7 led to three more intact incidental recoveries, a Toyota RAV4, Nissan Pathfinder and Volkswagen Passat along with pieces from an estimated 6 other vehicles. Police were able to make 2 arrests.
