MONTREAL, Nov. 5 /CNW/ - Rankin Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce that it has entered into negotiations with Vamello Dominicana to distribute the ``Boomerang'' vehicle tracking system in the Dominican Republic. Vamello Dominicana has paid a non-refundable deposit in exchange for the opportunity to distribute the Boomerang. With Headquarters in the Dominican Republic, Vamello Dominicana has strong ties with the Wireless Industry in that country. On average, there are 600,000 new vehicles sold annually in the Dominican Republic with a theft rate of 37 cars per day in Santa Domingo alone. COMPANY BACKGROUND Rankin Technologies Inc. markets and distributes the Boomerang, a proprietary product utilizing technology patented by the Company. The Boomerang is the central device in a cellular-based asset tracking system capable of locating stolen automobiles, heavy equipment and valuable objects.
