YONKERS — Three men cruising in a minivan stolen from Quebec were surprised yesterday when an automobile-recovery company from Canada tracked them nearly 440 miles to a street on the east side of Yonkers, police said.

Yvon White, 30, an employee from Boomerang Tracking in Canada, flagged down Police Officers Richard Sullivan and Richard Madaffari from the 2nd Precinct at 4:43 p.m. Thursday near Yonkers Avenue and Trenchard Street.

White told the officers that the van had been stolen in Quebec and that he had tracked it to Yonkers, police Lt. Richard Doheny said.

The officers stopped the 2002 silver Dodge Caravan and ran a check on the license. They learned that the car had been stolen in Quebec and arrested the three men inside, Doheny said.
